Born 10 October 1910, he was the youngest son of Tom and Mary Hannah Edgar. A lifelong resident of Hopedale, Harrison Co., Ohio, he worked in the coal fields as an oiler on the big shovels used in the strip mines. He married Mable Reaser and raised three children in their home on Main Street in Hopedale. He passed away in March, 1972 and was laid to rest in the Hopedale Cemetery, Hopedale, Harrison Co., Ohio
