Born in England (before 1870), he died Dec. 1890 in Nottingham, PA. Married Isabell Hewett sometime after his arrival in America, leaving a wife and a at least one son John "Jack" Edgar in England. One of seven brothers that left England and Scotland to come to America, he reportedly never made contact with any of them after his arrival. Family legend says that he lived, and owned property in Kentucky, killed a man and left for Pennsylvania. There he was killed by a train, in Nottingham, while walking the railroad tracks bringing home his beer.
